It's called: "Fishy" Business: How to be a Mermaid. It's 160 pages of mermaidy information, and has an awesome foreward by Carolyn Turgeon! The book can be purchased as a paper back, a pdf (for e reader and computer), and a special signed version. To get all the info check out the book website.
I had a very awesome book launching, with 25 people in attendance online and many people viewing but not participating. It's been a fin-tastic ride, and I can't believe it's finally happened. I am so happy it's finally done! Thank you so much to all the people who helped make it possible. Check out these photos from the book photo shoot shot by Brandy Hoyt photography:
Such a fun time. I'm sort of all over the place. I usually try to be chronilogical with my recaps, haha but I'm just going to go for it today. So much to cover! It's crazy! I haven't posted since Easter!
I got together with Mermaid Mimi and we got a few photos downtown on the waterfront in our tails. Check it out!
Mimi and I both also participated in the Children's Wish Foundation: Princess Tea Party. We spent hours hanging out with so many awesome princesses and a few pirates!
I also got to do a wicked awesome 40th Birthday party that was under the sea themed. Check out some of the photos! It was such a fun awesome time.
Mermaid Naida officially joined the team, and did her first gig. She is my back up mermaid for when Ama is busy. She's awesome, beautiful, talented, and great with kids. I'm so happy to have her on my team, and I can't wait to do many events with her this summer!
The Halifax Mermaids did a load of birthday parties too! With Naida and Ama, it was a busy two months!
We also published Tail Flip # 5. It was so awesome, and I am very proud of the issue. Our stunning cover model really brought the issue to life. Check it out by clicking here.
I also did a photoshoot of one of my lovely friends before she moved away. We put her in a tail and gave her a mermaid makeover!
I filmed a little video showing the behind the scenes of setting up for a busy day of gigs. Check it out.
We also took some time to get some funny and interesting behind the scenes! Take a peek.
Also, I took the month of May off from appearances and events. Raven of Merbellas was sent my tail to take in! Not only did she take it in, she repainted it, added a dorsal fringe, heel fins, and pelvic fins. Check this out, these photos are totally amazing and all by her husband Tyler Sutter.
it's on the way home, I can't even believe it. I am beyond excited!!!! I can't wait to slip it on for all my gigs!
Finally, I have two public gigs coming up! on Friday June 7th we'll be at the Maritime Museum from 9-3pm for World Ocean's Day, and then at the Discovery Centre from 5:30-7:30 for their Aquarium Exhibit! More details to come soon! Hope to see you there.
Wowza, running on empty. Good night everyone!
